Mercury and Venus Retrograde Now–Wow!!

HEY NOW, 

as Al Manning would say, illigitimi non carborundum, which was his pet phony Latin Phrase for “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.” As I write this, VENUS is Retrograde… and the good news is we are plodding through it  (Venus is retrograde from March 1 to April 12, 2025). We are making our way through these challenging times! Venus Retro only happens every year and a half, and since the goddess of LOVE affects all life, for her to go on vacation for six weeks is challenging.  The tendency is for folks to be dissatisfied, emotional and want a change.  The admonition is to “stay the course” and not make major changes.  I tell myself to shield my heart, as I strive to stay in my spiritual center and transcend all the   _____________ that comes my way.  This Venus Retro is more interesting as Mercury has joined us in Retrograde motion until April 6th.  One way of counting is that we have broken hearts (Venus Retro) to go along with broken minds (Mercury Retro). I have found such conditions extra challenging and tell myself to shield my heart, guard my mind, and strive to be centered in SPIRIT.  One way of counting is that we will “blink twice” and both these more difficult aspects will fade into the past. The wheel will turn and SPRING will launch tomorrow, March 20th, 2025.

My personal Mercury Retro Survival Plan is also relevant to survival of Venus Retro.  I would add 

that it is important to pray more, meditate more, and strive to be in your transcendent spiritual center during this unsettling time.  If you know what you are up against, you have a better chance to get through it.  I focus on what must be done as I put one foot in front of the other and avoid social complications and wait for a better time!!!  Stay the course… these influences will pass!

My personal Mercury Retro & Venus Survival Plan:

1) don’t panic.

2) say less not more.

3) stay in your spiritual center.

4) be patient with all communications.

5) prune all unnecessary activity – especially travel plans and new projects and social gatherings!

6) avoid new purchases – especially computers, automobiles, and electronic devices.

7) know that this aspect has a beginning, a middle, and an end… keep plodding through it, with PERSEVERANCE.

8) don’t quit your job, change your friends, or your location – save this for better times.

9) emphasize the “better” aspect of Mercury Retro: Plan for a future, see old friends, work on stalled projects & clean out closets. To emphasize spirituality is important to coping with both aspects.  Venus Retro can help with working through unresolved emotions.  

10) Focus on the ORANGE LIGHT to help promote mental clarity.  Focus on the PINK LIGHT and experience SPIRITUAL LOVE…   and keep on keeping on!!!

Life has its challenges, as we all know! Maintaining a positive attitude is central, though sometimes difficult. Al Manning would say, ILLIGITIMI NON CARBORUNDUM, which was his pet phony Latin Phrase for “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.” Al’s humor makes me smile! This has become one of my favorite phrases, as I like to encourage myself to keep going. We must persevere, in spite of whatever comes our way. Though it ain’t easy, we still have to do our best to transcend the difficulties of a material existence, if our intent is to survive and then thrive with style. So let us be bathed in the LIGHT & GRACE of SPIRIT which will uplift us above the obstacles. Let’s smile and win! Find something to laugh at. In Al’s world, laughter is a light attunement. Laughter chases away evil spirits and brightens the aura. Laugh today, right now, as it truly is the best medicine!!

The great wheel of time is always turning, moving into seasons, always with something new and something old. Like the ebb and flow of the tides… like the waning and the waxing of the moon… like the rising and the setting of the sun. Fall changes to winter changes to spring and life is renewed with the green fire. We move into summer and the beginning of Harvest Season! and into Thanksgiving and the Holidaze! Huzzah! And the beat goes on, and the WHEEL keeps turning.

Consider things that bring happiness. Seeing grapes growing and roses flowering gives me emotional nourishment. Watching them scale back as first snow falls, these are daily miracles!! So, find YOUR MIRACLE! Mother Nature is the Great Teacher—spend time with Her every day. Remember you are Her child and that She loves you… Count your blessings and you can never count them all! As you count, miracles multiply. Thank you for the privilege of sharing the LIGHT!

And yet the sun comes up in the morning and we have a chance to start our new day, again.

This spring I relish the fruit trees that are about to bloom in my yard. As I experience the pear trees flowering the smell of pears fills me with delight! Seeing grapes begin to grow and roses start to bud and bloom does make me smile. My lilac hedge blooming and sharing perfumed scents adds to the Glory of Nature. Each one of these is a miracle of life, a blessing. Count your blessings and you can never count them all! As you count, miracles multiply. Thank you for the privilege of sharing the LIGHT!

In the ESP LAB we say, “Thanks for your Love, Friendship, and Help.”  Today, I am adding, “through the years.”  Personally, I start a new year with Winter Solstice, as it is the beginning of a new solar year, as the LIGHT RETURNS.  Then much of the world celebrates the Roman Calendar, and we whoop and holler as we turn the page on ye olde year.  Soon thereafter, China celebrates its New Year, beginning on the new moon in February on the 10th— this one in the year of the auspicious Dragon.  Historically, Dragon years are said to represent good luck, justice, prosperity, and strength. Let us claim our share as we turn the pages of the past into the new.

Cosmic Awareness indicated that the Universe is reborn every micro-second.  Al Manning indicated that he was always “new and exciting.”  The cycle of the seasons and the solar and lunar cycles remind us that life is always changing, unfolding into the new.  So let us embrace the change, leave behind the past we no longer desire, and accept a fresh new start.

Let us stay on our spiral of growth as we meditate, pray, affirm and keep our auras and chakras bright with light!  Let’s tune in to the LIGHT within and be re-freshed. Let’s hold positive constructive thoughts to transcend any pain or suffering we have experienced—as we accept Good Fortune as our law of life!  Here is Al Manning’s gnostic magick chant for transforming the negative into the positive.

I love to start my day with Thanksgiving. I believe as we count our good fortunes it attracts blessings.  Al would say what we give our attention multiplies.  I also like to count my blessings during times of challenge and emotional distress. It changes the channel from counting disturbances to counting joys.  I typically start my morning with “Thank you Father for a day.”  I am then thankful for birds that sing as I watch them fly through the sanctuary skies against a backdrop of beautiful mountains.

I am thoughtful of the magnificence of nature and the amazing power of Divine Forces to create and shape our material reality giving me the benefit of each breath. I am thankful for a hot cup of good coffee and I celebrate life with dogs and friends.  I can never count all my blessings is my conclusion once I start counting.

I also like the words of of Dr Emmet Fox, the Divine Scientist, who indicates “bless a thing and it will bless you; curse a thing and it will curse you.”  Thus, I am always blessing my day, my weather, my business affairs, my personal relationships… while endeavoring to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative… not always such an easy gig, in today’s world. However, since I believe clear thoughts coupled with strong emotions shape our reality, I must choose to program my mind for success.  I have multiple phrases that I use to switch gears and move my mind to a higher level when it devolves into negative thinking. You might try adding some of these positive spiritual phrases into your consciousness if you start to experience depression or other negative emotions:

God is Love.

God is Love and he who loves is of God.

I AM the LIGHT going to meet the light; only goodness shall result.

Centered in Peace and Love, everything else is illusion.

Find your favorite spiritual literature and read it to “change the channel”

One of my favorites is the 23rd Psalm.

A seed version is “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

I also like to replace thoughts of lack with “God is my Source.”

Let us also note the power of the spoken word. If you look at the roots of many religions we see that in the beginning was the word, and as it moved it created.  One favorite creation myth is related to Thoth the god of wisdom, writing, and magick in some of the Egyptian pantheons. In the beginning was the greyness and then the great grey heron appeared and gave forth its CAW and separated the grey skies from the grey oceans. Remember your words have power and our words have power. Words take thoughts and makes them present in physical reality.  Our brother Al Manning had so many good words, uplifting and encouraging… and chants to shape reality.  Let us put our good words into action: FREEDOM, HEALING, LOVE, PROSPERITY for you and me our friends and families… so mote it be! Thanks always for your love, friendship and help as we turn to the light and endeavor to make things better and better.

     “I SHALL NOT WANT!”

     Hello dear friends of ESP LAB— thank you for your participation and support. Your ongoing interest keeps our organization alive. XOXOXO!

     It has been some challenging times for us folks on planet earth with economic, health, and political challenges.  “Tell me about it!” You may add. With the recent Solar Eclipse, the primal man within thinks the Dragon has swallowed the life source.  With very challenged Mars and Pluto energies some of our world has slipped into war.  It is easy to lose faith and let the dark side get to you.  However, we must be strong, through accessing the spiritual and peaceful side of the things and lift our spirit and consciousness to a higher level.

      How do we transcend it all, and keep a positive mental condition?  One way is to lift your mind up by focusing on a spiritual elevation.   I like to count my blessings, and I find I can never count them all.  Thanksgiving for the good is one way of lifting up your thoughts.  I like to say, TURN TO THE LIGHT, and for me this means accessing the spiritual channel.

      In our Spiritual Science organization (the parent corporation and twin flame of ESP LAB) we encourage “the discovery of the Divine Light within each one and a positive path towards spiritual evolution.”  We also acknowledge the existence of God, “We believe that God is loving, benevolent, all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere present. There are as many perceptions of God as there are people.” In ESP LAB our only dogma is no dogma, so no belief of any kind is required.  We respect your freedom to think and believe as you wish, and encourage you on your path.

    As a young man I began studying all the religions of the world at 15.  As a grown up I became an enthusiastic eclectic.  Al Manning and I share that in common.  I did, as a teenager, attend all the Christian churches in my hometown saying I live in the Western world, and I should be familiar with Jud6eo-Christian culture. Accordingly, I read the Bible and found I enjoyed the quotes from Jesus and especially liked Psalms.  I began reading the works of Bible Scholar and Divine Scientist Emmet Fox who wrote POWER THROUGH CONSTRUCTIVE THINKING.  He believed prayer was central and changes things for the better.  Dr. Fox wrote about the need to change your mental state from the downside to the bright side.  His method for this he called, “the Golden Key.”  Basically, you take your attitude or awareness of your negative condition and replace it with thoughts of the Divine.  All the religions of the world contain inspiration.

     Personally, I regard the Bible and the literature of the Judeo-Christian tradition, as spiritual vortexes that can help one access spiritual power.  I have always loved the 23rd Psalm and the Spiritual Science version is a little easier to read.  In our case, “the LORD” means your personal connection to the Divine.  Our members have many belief systems and to make this work for you, consider your direct connection to the Source, and then meditate upon the psalm.  Our goddess worshippers may prefer “the LADY is my shepherdess!”  To make it more effective personalize it for your own beliefs and commit to memory and then speak it aloud and know its truth. As you do, know you are loved and cared for by Mother/Father Universe—that is, your personal connection to the SOURCE:

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want!

He makes me lay down in green pastures.

He leads me besides the still waters.

He restores my soul.

He leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me.

Your rod and staff comfort me.

You prepare a table before me

 in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…

And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.”

OCTOBER HARVEST NEWS!!

I sent a version of this letter out a few weeks ago to a few Lab members… I am going to modify and use again, as we are on the same theme of PEACE, PROTECTION, POWER NOW with prosperity!

FUN brightens your chakras and chases away evil. Another method is “TUNE INTO THE BEAUTY OF NATURE!!”  Al Manning in his light course said, “We all remember the legend of the “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.” That’s a gross understatement! The secrets of life itself are wrapped up in that rainbow. 

PEACE: Today we tune into GREEN AS THE MIDDLE COLOR OF THE RAINBOW– THE POINT OF BALANCE AND PEACE. The Psalmist gives us a delicious feeling of PEACE with his words of green pastures and still waters. The color of lush vegetation always brings us an aura of peace, comfort and opulence. And this is no accident! Peace is to be found at the point of balance, the center of gravity, the midpoint.”   Green is the color we are using for our Light meditation for fall.

LOVE & PROSPERITY: USE SPIRIT POWER TO ENHANCE YOUR COLOR MAGICK– Our Merry Spirit Band is made up of ETP’s (Energy Transforming Personalities) that bring each color to life. Today we focus on the GREEN ray: Osiris, ancient Lord of LIFE, DEATH, NATURE, Barley & Beer– Osiris was mentioned in Al’s ISHTAR MAGICK series as the GREEN Energy Transforming Personality. When Al moved to Texas he liked PAN for the GREEN ray. Other ancient personalities that can be utilized to invoke the GREEN light of love, growth and PROSPERITY are: Hiawatha, Ezmarelda, and OSTARA. The heart is the center for the GREEN LIGHT OF LOVE!  Today is a good time to FEEL LOVE in your heart, LOVE is powerful and protective & can bring peace, protection and prosperity.

FUN: One of our members writes in that he had a fun vision of Pan. SC writes us from Colorado: 

“I saw all the problems all at once, like fuzzy balls all around me.  Pan was saying all you have to do is strip-away the stress. Then the music began… the striper tune, with horns blazing and with tassels spinning! Pan focused on kicking the problem-fuzz balls away– with each kick in time to the music. This was sure a lot of fun and was easy to see the worries bounce away.”  As the Nature Spirits sing and play, let us “feel our problems fade away!!”

In the early Greek language, Spirit was defined as “the breath through Pan’s pipes.”  Listen to nature for inspiration.  Here I have the birds singing daily, including the gaggling of a flock of nearby Canadian geese, and hawks crying.  Find a personal place to hear the sounds of Nature, Spirit playing through Pan’s pipes as we celebrate being alive as a great gift.  Count your blessings, with gratitude and FUN, as we plod through the challenge of your days!! We haven’t seen a Full Moon like this one in over 27 years, and we won’t see another one until the 22nd century!

Now, ‘super’ Blue Moons are a little more uncommon.

A supermoon occurs when the Moon turns full at the same time that it is near its closest distance to Earth along its elliptical orbit. Thus, being closer to us, supermoons appear bigger and brighter in the sky. Since we see between two and five supermoons each year, it doesn’t take too long for one to match up with the second Full Moon in a calendar month. The last blue supermoon was a little over 5 years ago, on January 31, 2018, which was also a total lunar eclipse (the Super Blue Blood Moon). The next one doesn’t occur until January 31, 2037, which — strangely enough — will be another Super Blue Blood Moon!

Wednesday night’s Blue Moon is an especially rare one, though. It’s a Perigee Blue Moon.

Of the handful of supermoons we see each year, one is always the closest, biggest and brightest of them all. It’s the ‘superest’ of the supermoons, if you will. This is known as the Perigee Supermoon or Perigee Moon.

There’s one Perigee Moon every year, and they’re spaced apart by around thirteen and a half months. Match this up with the roughly 30-36 months between calendar Blue Moons and the variations in timing make Perigee Blue Moons quite rare.

It’s been over 27 years since the last Perigee Blue Moon, which occurred on July 30, 1996. The next one, though, isn’t until December 31, 2115. That’s over 92 years from now!

So, be sure to get out to see this one, since there’s an awfully long wait until the next one!

In the early Greek language, Spirit was defined as “the breath through Pan’s pipes.”  Listen to nature for inspiration.  Here I have the birds singing daily, including the gaggling of a flock of nearby Canadian geese, and hawks crying.  Find a personal place to hear the sound of Nature, Spirit playing through Pan’s pipes as we celebrate being alive as a great gift.  Count your blessings, with gratitude, as we plod through the Venus Retro with Mercury Retro combo pack and know these two shall pass!

                                             PLOD THROUGH IT!  STAY THE COURSE!!

HEY NOW, as Al Manning would say, illigitimi non carborundum, which was his pet phony Latin Phrase for “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.” As I write this, VENUS is Retrograde… and the good news is we are plodding through it and since it went Retro July 22nd, we are making our way through these challenging times! Venus Retro only happens every year and a half, and since the goddess of LOVE affects all life, for her to go on vacation for six weeks is challenging.  The tendency is for folks to be dissatisfied, emotional and want a change.  The admonition is to “stay the course” and not make major changes.  I tell myself to shield my heart, as I strive to stay in my spiritual center and transcend all the ____________   _____________ that comes my way.

It is about to get more interesting as Mercury will join Venus in Retrograde motion.  So one way of counting is that we have broken hearts (Venus Retro) to go along with broken minds (Mercury Retro). I have to confess that I have found such conditions extra challenging and tell myself to shield my heart, guard my mind, and strive to be centered in SPIRIT.

Personally, I am looking toward Fall Equinox when the Sun enters LIBRA early on September 23rd.  I will strive for patience and attempt to focus on that which must be done, while waiting for better times for more ambitious efforts.

My personal Mercury Retro Survival Plan is also relevant to Venus Retro.  I would add it is important to pray more, meditate more, and strive for your transcendent spiritual center during this unsettling time.  If you know what you are up against, you have a better chance to get through it.  I focus on what must be done as I put one foot in front of the other and avoid social complications and wait for a better time!!!  Stay the course… these influences will pass!

My personal Mercury Retro Survival Plan:

1) don’t panic.

2) say less not more.

3) stay in your spiritual center.

4) be patient with all communications.

5) prune all unnecessary activity – especially travel plans and new projects.

6) avoid new purchases – especially computers, automobiles, and electronic devices.

7) know that this aspect has a beginning, a middle, and an end… keep plodding through it, with PERSEVERANCE.

8) don’t quit your job, change your friends, or your location – save this for better times.

9) emphasize the “better” aspect of Mercury retro: Plan for a future, see old friends, work on stalled projects, clean out closets, emphasize spirituality. 

10) Focus on the ORANGE LIGHT to help promote mental clarity.
