Making it So Book Review
Making it So Book Review
This Making it So book review is unique for two reasons. First, Patrick Stewart’s autobiography isn’t a new release; it came out just about two years ago. And second? I’m drawing attention to the numerous paranormal references peppered throughout the book. From boyhood straight through to Mister Stewart’s eligibility for social security and beyond, the reader is in for a treat with the author’s detailed descriptions of his encounters with the supernatural. Hearing him describe these personal encounters, in his own words and voice, will thrill fawning fans, stump skeptics and leave every reader with a lot to think about it.
While available in all formats, I selected the audio book for obvious reasons. This was a stuffy, snobbish reading right? WRONG! If you go with the ebook or paper-and-ink route you’re missing out on an important aspect of what makes this book such a rewarding experience. This Making it So book review is glowing due largely to Patrick Stewart reading it himself. It’s a real treat listening to every word of this accomplished actor with decades of acting credits under his belt.
I was not only perplexed by Mr. Stewart’s paranormal adventures, I was downright surprised at how frugal and practical he is. His Star Trek; The Next Generation ccastmates bought themselves fancy cars once it was clear the show was a big hit. Patrick bought a Honda. Or was it a Toyota? From his humble origins in post-war England to pinching his pennies as an aspiring actor and throughout his life, the public would be wise to follow his example. I hope I’m not coming off as a total fanboy with my Making it So book review.
This book tells of a life well lived. A life where ownership is claimed for mistakes and even heartbreaks. A life of adventure and intrigue and an eccentricity or two. If you want to learn how to live a well balanced life read this book. I think Al Manning himself would have a blast reading this unique autobiography.
Should you read this book? Make it so.
