Eliminating Religious Dogma: A Path Towards Spiritual Freedom

Eliminating religious dogma is hiding in plain sight from over 2.6 billion people – Christians and Jews – but all of earth’s population of 8 billion people can dismiss dogma brought on by religion. As this is published at the start of the Jewish new year of 5786 on the eve of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, I am among 20 million Jews who are looking forward to a new page in The Book of Life and so should we all if everybody just followed seven simple rules spelled out below.

Making it So Book Review

This Making it So book review is unique for two reasons. First, Patrick Stewart’s autobiography isn’t a new release; it came out just about two years ago. And second? I’m drawing attention to the numerous paranormal references peppered throughout the book. From boyhood straight through to Mister Stewart’s eligibility for social security and beyond, the reader is in for a treat with the author’s detailed descriptions of his encounters with the supernatural. Hearing him describe these personal encounters, in his own words and voice, will thrill fawning fans, stump skeptics and leave every reader with a lot to think about it.

While available in all formats, I selected the audio book for obvious reasons. This was a stuffy, snobbish reading right?

The Fall Equinox is the second of the three major harvest festivals. The Celtic name for it is Mabon: the season of storing food and preserving nature’s bounty for the coming winter months. This year it will be on September 22nd, just as the sun enters Libra, the sign of the balancing scales. The term Equinox refers to this balance of day and night and the cycle of life is evidenced by Nature: Spring (birth) Fall: seeds falling and going underground (death) only to grow again in spring: (rebirth). This cycle has been revered for at least 30,000 years; probably for as long as humans have gathered herbs and plants in familiar places during certain seasons.

A deeper mystery at the Fall Equinox was celebrated for many centuries at Eleusis, a small village in Greece.

The Al Manning Tapes is Truly Buried Treasure Revealed.

The discovery of The Al Manning Tapes (and a CD) is better than my wildest dreams coming true. That’s because I was hoping to find Al’s old cassette products listed in the old ESP Lab catalog covering topics like improving eyesight, losing weight, healing relationships, etc. A bunch of those were tracked down along with audio cassettes – dozens of them – with cryptic labels such as RS 1-14, CC 1-X, etc.

Popping RS 1 into a tape player that can digitize such recordings on the fly, it seems that RS stands for radio show. Hearing the voice of Al G Manning introduce the audience to “Adventures in Awareness” gave me some chills.

Celebrate Lammas With Abundance Gratitude and Sharing

August 2nd is the day to celebrate Lammas, the first of three festivals celebrating Mother Earth’s bounty. Baking loaves from the first grains and offering them at a communal meal has always been central to these gatherings, going back to thousands of years before the Common Era.

The Celts called this time Lughnasadh (loo-na-sa), Native Americans called it the Green Corn Festival and in Slavic Regions it is called the feast of the Big Glad Woman. Ireland celebrates Lammas as Big Sunday and farming communities gather at hundreds of traditional hilltop sites to set up craft fairs, feast, play games, and dance. A part of every one of these gatherings is a ceremonial meal where the first fruits of the harvest were shared in gratitude to Mother Earth.
