When your whole world seems to be slipping into the doldrums or something worse, it’s a time to focus on JOY and making all your meditation and ritual times extra fun for you and for your Spirit Friends. Seems to me it’s the 100th Psalm that starts out: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord….” Sounds like especially good advice for any occasion.

The following information describes the general movement of the planets during the upcoming month, for some of you – this monthly planetary movement will have a direct hit on your personal or birth planetary configurations (called a Natal chart) and in doing so you the energy will be amplified for you. Celebrate the First Harvest my friends,

August 2^nd is Lammas; the first of three festivals celebrating Mother Earth’s bounty along with September 21^st and November 1^st. Baking loaves from the first grains and offering them at a communal meal has always been central to these gatherings. Traditionally, the first sheaf would be ceremonially cut at dawn, winnowed, ground and baked into the Harvest Bread that was then shared by the community in gratitude. Most handfastings were celebrated at the Lammas Fairs where country people gathered. The custom was single folks would choose a companion for the next year and when Lammas Fair came again they wed or separated.

The Celts called this time Lughnasadh (pronounced loo-na-sa), Native Americans called it the Green Corn Festival and in Slavic Regions it is called the feast of the Big Glad Woman.

Howdy, wow that crazy Mercury turned Retro again… so for July, if you feel confused, lose your job, or quit your relationships– you could blame “the stars.” At ESP LAB we suggest that you insist upon patience in communications, while turning to the LIGHT (especially the ORANGE LIGHT which promotes mental clarity) and plodding thru the challenges. Just for fun we asked in ESP how do we get through this Mercury Retrograde. The answer that came in was Al’s chant, based upon the song 76 trombones. Al used to sing this song every morning as part of his JOY in LIVING strategy, in his truck on the way to the post office:

“76 Neat Gnomes lead the big parade

With 110 droll Trolls right behind

There is Pan and Puck and even Lady Luck

Nature Spirits of every shape and kind.”

Let’s turn to the sparkling BLUE LIGHT of PEACE, PROTECTION, POWER and PROSPERITY– Turn to oneness with the BLUE LIGHT– the positive healing creative BLUE LIGHT– as we open ourselves to SPIRIT, STRENGTH, HEALTH, POWER & PEACE with INFINITE CREATIVITY– Let’s make this our 3rd or “extra” LIGHT attunement period for each day. Know that YOU will be uplifted and helped by participating whether or not your name appears on this month’s special list. To play with us, just find a relatively peaceful place in which to relax and focus your complete attention on THE INFINITE SOURCE OF ALL… or simply God if the term is OK with you. Let your “imagination” fill in any blanks, but KNOW that there is always a response from the Infinite.

Meditation or relaxed days – take advantage of smooth flowing energy and make them the best days ever … 6, 12, 22, 26, 27.

Merry Midsummer my Friends,

June 21^st is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Latitudes. Also known as Midsummer, this Solstice (meaning ‘Sun stands still’) is when the Sun is at its peak; the longest day of the year. It is also one of the eight great spokes on the Celtic wheel of seasons, and celebrated in some way in all cultures. Midsummer’s Eve is one of the three important spirit nights of the year; the other two are Beltane (May Day) and Samhain (Halloween). It is considered a spirit night because the veils are thinnest between the worlds for communication with the spirits.

Shakespeare’s comedy, The Tempest, was tapping into common beliefs in Elizabethan times that Midsummer is the time for contact with the world of Faerie.
