The Al Manning Tapes is Truly Buried Treasure Revealed.

The discovery of The Al Manning Tapes (and a CD) is better than my wildest dreams coming true. That’s because I was hoping to find Al’s old cassette products listed in the old ESP Lab catalog covering topics like improving eyesight, losing weight, healing relationships, etc. A bunch of those were tracked down along with audio cassettes – dozens of them – with cryptic labels such as RS 1-14, CC 1-X, etc.

Popping RS 1 into a tape player that can digitize such recordings on the fly, it seems that RS stands for radio show. Hearing the voice of Al G Manning introduce the audience to “Adventures in Awareness” gave me some chills.

I’ve literally grown up with Uncle Ozzy since the early 1980s so I’m qualified to write this Ozzy Osbourne tribute. Let’s start out with the good news; Ozzy Osbourne still lives in our hearts and minds. Ozzy has been a living legend for decades and that’s not changing any time soon. Celebrate Lammas With Abundance Gratitude and Sharing

August 2nd is the day to celebrate Lammas, the first of three festivals celebrating Mother Earth’s bounty. Baking loaves from the first grains and offering them at a communal meal has always been central to these gatherings, going back to thousands of years before the Common Era.

The Celts called this time Lughnasadh (loo-na-sa), Native Americans called it the Green Corn Festival and in Slavic Regions it is called the feast of the Big Glad Woman. Ireland celebrates Lammas as Big Sunday and farming communities gather at hundreds of traditional hilltop sites to set up craft fairs, feast, play games, and dance. A part of every one of these gatherings is a ceremonial meal where the first fruits of the harvest were shared in gratitude to Mother Earth.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice

On June 20th when the Sun moves into Cancer in the Northern Latitudes, we celebrate the Summer Solstice. it is one of the eight great spokes on the Celtic Wheel of the Seasons. The Solstice (meaning sun stands still) is universally recognized in all cultures as an important turning point—it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere the Summer Solstice will be celebrated at the Winter Solstice in the North.

I have often written about the Fae (people of Fairie) and their role as protectors of the natural world. Since Summer Solstice was the time when encounters with the Fae were most possible, I felt called to write about such encounters.

Silly Superstitions are as Old as the Hills. Here’s how to have fun with them.

Today is Friday the 13th and that’s about as funny as silly superstitions get. From Norse mythology to the last supper to a slew of slasher movies, the whole thing has turned into a laugh as it should be. Here’s some perspective. Growing up I often spent time with a wonderful girl named Stephanie. She was a died in the wool horror movie fan and I never quite understood her fascination. She’d laugh as we watched the monkey brains scene in Faces of Death, Freddie Kruger’s soul pizza, Jason doing his thing at Camp Crystal Lake and all the rest. I wasn’t really ever frightened but I wasn’t howling with laughter either.

I’ve been working mostly “behind the scenes” here at ESP Lab since the board unanimously voted me in as treasurer and the president-elect of Spiritual Science and by extension, naturally, ESP Lab back on October 31, 2024.

Before I dive into my thoughts to Give Light, there’s just a little backstory. And introduction for those that don’t know me. My Memorial Day weekend wasn’t much of a holiday but it was a lot of fun with all the Lab work I did. As a faithful Al G. Manning student I wholeheartedly live by his motto “If I can’t have a good time I ain’t going”. That includes going to work on something or to somewhere. It was a total blast completing the milestone task of publishing all of the Al Manning occult courses yesterday.

2025 Beltane Newsletter

Celebrate Life Force Energy on May Day,

May Day is the time when nature has truly come alive. Our ancestors joyfully embraced the fertility of Mother Earth; flowers bloom, offering their pollen to the bees. The Celtic name for this period is Beltane, which means bright or sacred fire. During the festival, great bonfires were lit and animals and fields were blessed in hopes for an abundant year.

Traditionally May Day began on the eve of May 1st and was celebrated with feasting, dancing, and merriment for two weeks. Beltane was a time when lovers ran off to the fields and woods together to honor the Great Goddess with ecstatic lovemaking. These Lovers knew that sexual energy was the most powerful connection to Spirit.
