The NEW MOON is a Most Magickal Time
The NEW MOON is a most magickal time. It is a time of setting in motion your new thoughts and wishes that you desire to manifest over the next 28 day lunar cycle. It is also a time for letting go of negativity in your past.
It is said that the MOON MOTHER will grant wishes during the full moon and the three days after. The new moon is all about creating your new wishes to accomplish with energizing them during the 14 days leading up to the full moon, and accepting your fulfilment as the moon turns full.
An ancient tradition is that the MOON represents the three phases of woman. When She is new,
She is the virgin… and then as the light of the SUN reaches Her She thrills with fertility. And for 14 days the MOON
MOTHER becomes more and more pregnant with the thoughts and emotions that we broadcast. Then as She
becomes full, the “water breaks” and she gives birth to Her child which relates to the sum total of our energies for
the previous 14 days.
In her joy She will grant a wish or two that is true. So we celebrate this great light of the most fertile MOON. Make the most of it: Cast a great wish!!!
Accept the Mother’s bounty!!!
Now this cycle will be just a lil more challenging as Mercury recently went retrograde…
MERCURY has gone RETRO- Uh oh… as of October 13th!
The planet Mercury- which rules the mind, communication, business, & transportation- has gone on another vacation and this one started 7:05 pm MST, October 13th, and we have this energy to contend with to November 3rd.
It is time to slip into plod mode and stay that way. It takes perseverance but you can do it! We can do it!! We can get through this again!
Actually Mercury Retrograde is a good opportunity to slow down a little and be centered in the peace and love of the Divine. Celebrate rest, seeing established friends and family and let’s enjoy anyway! Meditate! Pray! This can be a time for working on stalled projects which can suddenly flip forward. Not the best time for new projects or new beginnings as things can be sluggish and confused. Can be beneficial for planning.
Of course each one of us responds to the Celestial influences differently-and since I am a Libran, and very airy & mental, I am more strongly impacted than some other signs. Al Manning-a self-proclaimed triple Gemini and Founder of the world famous ESP LAB had this to say: “Mercury Retrograde tears the hell out of communications in general and presents a bad time to start new projects. But it is a good time for cleaning out your closets and finishing off old or stalled projects. By staying carefully and deliberately positive, we can handle it all and go forward together. Let’s do it!”
Think of a Mercury Retro survival plan. I post mine on the refrigerator for the period to remind me. Here is mine: 1) don’t panic. 2) say less not more. 3) stay in your spiritual center. 4) be patient with all communications. 5) prune all unnecessary activity – especially travel plans and new projects. 6) avoid new purchases – especially computers, automobiles, and electronic devices. 7) know that this aspect has a beginning, a middle, and an end… keep plodding through it. 8) don’t quit your job, change your friends, or your location – save this for better times. 9) emphasize the “better” aspect of Mercury retro: see old friends, work on stalled projects, clean out closets, emphasize spirituality. 10) Use the ORANGE LIGHT to help promote mental clarity. Follow these 10 steps with a good attitude and your experience of Mercury Retro can be more positive.
